Social Care Work – Every day is different
Can you help us make a difference to someone’s day? We are currently looking for exceptional people that can help us maintain our outstanding reputation for providing the highest quality of care. You will receive first-class training, flexible working hours and 24/7 support.
We offer comprehensive and ongoing training, hours you can arrange around your existing committments and excellent rates of pay. You will often be working alone, supported by a friendly team of care professionals who are committed to providing the highest quality of care and, best of all, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the life of your client!
Our company works differently to other home care providers and we value our caregivers very highly – apply now using the form at the bottom of the page and find out why.
Here is what Bridget has to say:
I look after a couple of clients, both having very different needs. Caregivers are introduced to clients who have similar interest to ourselves. I help to keep clients in their homes by supporting them whilst doing the things they have always enjoyed, but due to different health issues they may need a little support. It may be reading to them, doing crosswords, theatre trips, shopping, gardening, sewing, cooking, taking to clubs etc, conducting activities that most of us would take for granted.
I feel that my clients have a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime of experience that I can share; it makes my job really enjoyable and rewarding.
Both Paul and Maddie are compassionate caring people who do everything they can to support their clients and staff. They have given me all of the tools necessary to provide the very best of care, and I know whatever problem comes my way they will be there to help. They make me feel that I am a valued member of the team; everyone matters.
To sum it up it’s about providing the support and care you’d expect your family or friends to receive”.

Want to know more?
About Us: Inchwater Home Care is a small, family run, company that offers the highest quality of care to clients in their own homes. We have a superb suport team in the office and our caregivers are amazing! We have been voted as Top Home Care Provider in Kent twice and are rated by the Care Quality Commission as “Outstanding” (twice!) – the only homecare provider in Shepway and Dover District to be rated so highly.
Outstanding Social Care Work – Why we are different: We offer a unique service and are seeking compassionate people to join our team. We need caring people to help look after older people in their own homes in the Dover, Deal, Folkestone, Hythe and Sandwich areas.
You will be working with just a small number of clients and, because we work differently to other home care providers, you will have the time and opportunity to build a caring and supportive relationship with the people in your care. Your responsibilities may include companionship, medication reminders, home help and personal care. No qualifications required but you must be willing to undertake comprehensive and ongoing training.
Our training is excellent – we offer nationally recognised qualifications at all levels and will support you in achieving your goals. We have a good career structure to offer, with progression to Senior Caregiver, Lead Caregiver and Care Support possible for all caregivers. We offer weekly training across 12 different topics such as Dementia, Parkinson’s, MND and Stroke, so your skills are always up-to-date. You have the opportunity to gain an NVQ, should you wish, and we currently have people taking their NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 5.
Here’s what Joanna has to say:
|“When I looked at Inchwater`s website for the first time I was very impressed. I love the fact that caregiver`s personalities are matched with the client`s and in effect we enjoy our company. I was warmly welcomed from the beginning and felt that`s the company I want to work for. I am being appreciated for what I do daily and it encourages me to work even harder.
I started with Inchwater as a Probationer, progressed to Caregiver and now I work as a Lead Caregiver. I enjoy looking after my regular clients, help them with daily tasks, offer companionship, help with shopping, assist with personal care and whatever may be required. I have also been given an opportunity to work alongside care management and to learn and grow to a role of Carer`s support in the future. I am awaiting to be enrolled to NVQ5 in health and social care which will take my career to a next level.”
We have very competitive pay rates from £9.20 per hour, plus holiday pay and mileage allowance. We pay enhanced rates for unsocial hours and weekend working (£10.20/hr). Flexible working is a part of the role and we ask our staff to be available to work alternate weekends, early mornings and/or evenings. Please note, this position is part-time only.
About You: You might already be in a social care role and looking for an employer who values what you do… You might be new to social care and looking for a career… you might be retired and find you have time to spare… These are all stories from people who already work for us – our youngest caregiver is 19 and our oldest is 71 and people come from many different backgrounds. If you have the desire to care, we want you to join us!
We will provide full training before you start and continue to support you throughout. Empathy is more important than experience and we welcome applicants of all ages. You will need an Enhanced DBS, although we are happy to assist you with this. Access to your own transport is essential.
