Our family has been consistently impressed by the care Inchwater Care Home gave our mother. Inchwater organised sessions for her, trips out, helps with shopping, long walks and just sitting quietly in her home. But when she fell, the carer took her to the local injury unit. They introduced personal care to a person who was fiercely proud and took some persuading but she came to really appreciate what they did for her. The carer sent her a postcard whilst she was away on holiday which made my mother feel valued. Later she suffered a serious stroke and the Inchwater carer visited her on her own initiative, at the stroke unit. Inchwater tailored a package of care to suit my mother’s needs and were extremely perceptive in assessing her needs throughout the weeks she was able to stay at home. Sadly our mother has now had to move into a residential care home but I am convinced Inchwater’s input allowed her to stay where she really wanted to be…’her home’. Mr RH, Studdal

They provided palliative care for my father during the last weeks of his life when he was suffering from a devastating terminal illness. As the name suggests, this agency is dedicated to caring for the elderly in their own home. My mother-in-law lives with us (in a converted garage), she is 93 years old. A home helper comes twice a day and does all that is needed. We do not need to worry about her, the burden of care is totally lifted from us. The care agency discuss any concerns, are always on the end of the phone if we have concerns, adjustments to her care plan are easily and immediately implemented. My mother-in-law feels very much part of the family and her mental health has improved significantly since coming to live with us – made possibly only because of their superior care.
