Outstanding Social Care Work – Why we are different: We offer a unique service and are seeking compassionate people to join our team. We need caring people to help look after older people in their own homes in the Dover, Deal, Folkestone, Hythe and Sandwich areas.

You will be working with just a small number of clients and, because we work differently to other home care providers, you will have the time and opportunity to build a caring and supportive relationship with the people in your care. Your responsibilities may include companionship, medication reminders, home help and personal care. No qualifications required but you must be willing to undertake comprehensive and ongoing training.

Our training is excellent – we offer nationally recognised qualifications at all levels and will support you in achieving your goals. We have a good career structure to offer, with progression to Senior Caregiver, Lead Caregiver and Care Support possible for all caregivers. We offer weekly training across 12 different topics such as Dementia, Parkinson’s, MND and Stroke, so your skills are always up-to-date. You have the opportunity to gain an NVQ, should you wish, and we currently have people taking their NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 5.

I look after a couple of clients, both having very different needs. Caregivers are introduced to clients who have similar interest to ourselves. I help to keep clients in their homes by supporting them whilst doing the things they have always enjoyed, but due to different health issues they may need a little support. It may be reading to them, doing crosswords, theatre trips, shopping, gardening, sewing, cooking, taking to clubs etc, conducting activities that most of us would take for granted.

I feel that my clients have a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime of experience that I can share; it makes my job really enjoyable and rewarding.

Both Paul and Maddie are compassionate caring people who do everything they can to support their clients and staff. They have given me all of the tools necessary to provide the very best of care, and I know whatever problem comes my way they will be there to help. We will provide full training before you start and continue to support you throughout. Empathy is more important than experience and we welcome applicants of all ages. You will need an Enhanced DBS, although we are happy to assist you with this. Access to your own transport is essential.
